Help On Homework Law of sines????
ok i got a word problem from my trigonometry homework that i don’t get i would really appreciate it if you can help me.
A ship is sailing due north. At a certain point the bearing of a lighthouse 12.5 km is 38.8 degrees. Later, the bearing to that lighthouse is 135.8 degrees. How far did the ship travel between the two observations of the lighthouse?
the bearing of a lighthouse is 12.5 km
12.5/sin 38.8 = Answer/sin 135.8
so 12.5 sin 135.8/sin 28.8=Answer
