Why didn’t the Chinese colonize new territories like the Europeans did in the past?

The Europeans sailed around the world to establish colonies, but why didnt the Chinese?? Zeng He and other chinese sailors discovered many new lands before the europeans did such as Australia, West Coast of North America, East coast Africa long before the europeans.
They could of claimed them all but why didnt they??

no native americans are not descendants of chinese people. they were here a long time ago and they have no DNA similaries whatsoever. that is just a stupid scientific theory because native americans tend to look simliar to asians and are part of the mongoloid race so they think that they must have come from asia. china did not conquer other nations because it did not have an efficient enough power to take over other nations, especially since genghis khan was controlling it. also, when china invented things it did not let anyone explore its land and creations. they had a good defensive system but not a good offensive one. their geographical location was also hard for them to move anywhere. that is also why europeans had a bigger advantage to go to other places and still be powerful enough to conquer them. remember, europe did not manage to control most of china or eastern asia. just a few parts of it.

edit: sigh. dog lover, zheng he was only that, an explorer. yes i know what the asker is talking about and i was saying that china was already being controlled by genghis khan, who was a mongolian. i was also saying their power was not efficient enough to control foreign nations such as arabia, europe, egypt, persia, etc. those civilizations were too strong that even genghis khan could not even control them no matter how hard he tried. yes i know china was still having inner problems but the asker was clearly talkig about why it did not control *other* nations such as africa and europe etc. please read my paragraph carefully and see that i truly did stick to the subject. china did not have power to conquer. only to defend. that is the main reason i am trying to explain. europe was exploring and advancing, which is why they were able to control most parts of the world, while china was still struggling to control its own land. and believe me, china today cannot control any other nation because of its friendship to the united states. if they break any national rules (eg going to war without permission from the UN) the US and britian will just crush them. and if they want to keep their nation advancing then they would not be stupid and attack another country. that is the true reason why they do not conquer another country. it only began advancing when europeans and westerners began opening up projects there not too long ago. 50-100 years ago china was nothing different from african nations.
