Athletic: Wando is number one in forty-eight schools in the state AAAA in highest overall athletic program. There are a total of 19 varsity teams. Women's tennis team have been champions state for five years in a row. Subject of boys were also recently named state champions. Volleyball, baseball, football and girls have won the Lower State Champions also in the last four years. Fourteen of Wando's sports teams have won regional championships. Besides the usual football basketball, etc., expected in any school, Wando also offers sports that are becoming increasingly popular in both public and private schools, such as golf.
