Take index cards and a pen
I love index cards. You too! Make big or small, governed or anarchist, white or colored – but get them. The small ones are perfect for your daily schedule. Write down everything you need know and do that day card – appointments, errands, phone numbers, anything – and into your pocket or purse. At the end of the day, gets rid of your card in the trash (or, if you prefer, file), then prepare your card for the next day. You'll be surprised how much you make and remember. (In addition, the cards are great to write down ideas as they occur randomly throughout the day.)
The time has come and rhymes
To remember something, aside only 60 seconds to really focus on remembering. A minute of your time = lives of total recall. If you want to remember that Columbus discovered America in 1492 spend a minute to focus on that fact alone. Think of something else. Then create the best rhyme you can think of. Remember that "In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue? "Of course!
Think of "Roy G. Biv"
Roy does not sound familiar? He should! He is the acronym that helped him remember the colors of the spectrum (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet). Acronym Go crazy! Use them! Abusing of them! You will be a memory super-freak!
Screw multitasking
I'll be frank. You can not remember something, if doing six things at once. In reality, the "multitasking" means "do a lot of things without proof. To be special, to be great, must concentrate. To have a great memory, focus on one thing, only one thing – one thing at a time. (Remember, when the actors memorize a sequence command, are not on the phone with their agents and signing autographs – are concentrated in the script!)
Create Crazy image in Your Head
Well, I just met a woman named Jennifer Bamburg and it is very important to remember his name. Do not worry. It's easy. Imagine her with Jennifer Aniston. Or Jennifer Lopez. Or any famous Jennifer. Now imagine the two overcome the demons of a giant hamburger. Bam! Trust me, "said Jennifer Bamburg "stick in the head.
Using sports to remember numbers
Need to remember a combination lock? Let which is 5-23-7. You may not Yankee fan, maybe, but you realize these are the numbers of the three famous players: DiMaggio, Mattingly and Mantle. Simply take a snapshot mental of the three of them standing together … Boom! you just memorize the combo! You can do the same with phone numbers. Need to remember 712-2399? Imagine José Reyes, Tom Brady, Michael Jordan and Wayne Gretsky be photographed together! Bam!
