Could the liner Queen Mary 2 survive sailing in a tsunami?
I have read in a book on the QE2 which survived a 90-foot wave unharmed so one of these huge ships could survive a tsunami. It's a huge wave, I mean – about 100 meters high. One respondent has probably beaten in the correct terminology with the words "Rogue Wave".
As long as the QMII is perpendicular to the wave, must survive. I'm not so hopeful hand, if they were hit head on. The design specification of the vessel must meet before a tidal wave of a certain size, but many cruise ships these days are built for high order with balconies offer as many as possible, which should raise the center of gravity.
