Spain is the second most visited country in the world when it comes to tourism. While Madrid and Barcelona are obvious destinations, is in Valencia, as destroyers of gangs.

Spain is absolutely a fantastic country to visit. The people are friendly, the culture is amazing and the atmosphere is tremendous. When most people planning a trip to the country, Madrid and Barcelona are in the top of the wish list and rightly so. If we stick to these two cities, you'll have a good time. Having said that, also lost the opportunity of some terrific destinations. Valencia is now a place.

Valencia is a city located in the Mediterranean. During has long been considered a less than stellar to visit. Why? It was on the wrong side of the conflict in which the dictator Francisco Franco was the winner. As result, the city received almost no financial support from Madrid, for sixty years. This resulted in the city focuses on the trade of the port with all that implies from a tourism perspective.

A couple of years, things changed drastically for Valencia. The reason is quite strange. The U.S. competition the last candle Cup was won by a Swiss contingent. While a great victory, presents a unique problem. The winners get to choose the next location for the race. Switzerland, of course, is not exactly lined with any oceans. Some lakes nice, but the Cup has to be in an ocean. Well, you can see where this is addresses this. Valencia has been chosen as the European port races and starting later this year.

The U.S. is the America's Cup is undoubtedly the sport for the rich. In the choice of Valencia, the host racing commission has worked with the city to taste. In a big way. The old industrial port has been more than once as you would not believe. The boardwalk has had a complete facelift. There is now a park of 64 acres with waterfront Giant palm tree. Then there is the City of Arts and Sciences. It is a collection of museums and theaters, many created from glass!

Regardless of new construction, Valencia has really always been a place to go for people in the know. It is a lovely city. The first step to take when visiting Chuck is your map and book guide. This is a city best explored on foot miss. Small cafes, shopping areas Gothic and so make it a paradise for explorers.

I fully admit that canÂ't go wrong on a visit to Madrid and Barcelona, if he goes to Spain. If you leave the crowds behind and are looking for a unique location, Valencia is the place.
