What type of boat or yatch can i purchase to get me across the sea, like say if i wanted to sail myself from UK to the carribean, or south pacific, im not loaded so this must be the cheapest possible way.
If you can could you please search for me to find a amazing boat to go overseas with and give a link if possible.
and before you say google it, i have but its useless as for this is going to be a gift and i dont know anything about boats.
wtf Tom that wasnt an answer, question is what type of boat, whats the point in answering a question without the answer required, dumbass
If you ask 10 people the same question, they’ll give you 10 different answers as to what they believe is the ideal boat… Here’s mine:
A good all round blue water cruiser is a full-keeled, cutter-rigged ketch. Full keel for stability, Cutter rigged ketch for sail plan versatility in a variety of conditions.
Size wise, for long distance cruising, you really do want to consider something in the “over 40 foot” size. You can get away with less but there are comfort and stowage issues to consider.
Steel makes for a strong boat; not really pretty sometimes but strong none the less. There’s an old adage: “You know why you don’t hear any horror stories about steel boats? That’s because nothing ever happens to them.” Not that they can’t sink or get dented, but they do stand up pretty good.
In reality, This is only a vague answer to your question. There’s lots of other things to consider.
Now everyone else can wade in here and tell you why I’m so wrong.
