What family activities can you recommend in St. George’s or King’s Wharf, Bermuda?

To my disappointment, cruise ships no longer seem to be docking at Hamilton, Bermuda. I had always hoped to take my family there, but now I’m left with the docking options of King’s Wharf or St. George’s. Do you have any activity recommendations for these ports? Also, have any of you sailed there on the Royal Caribbean “Grandeur of the Seas”? Thank you!

Have no fear Elisabeth, you will have a great time in St Georges and still get to show your family Hamilton.
Kings Wharf is central to St Georges, I recommend going to the town hall and seeing their presentation and meeting the Mayor, just look for the “town crier”. That is followed by the trial and sentencing of the “town gossip” (quite entertaining).
That same town center is the starting point for the walking tour where you will meet the “town gossip” again. I just cant remember her name, but I remember her husbands name is Stuart. I suggest talking to her as she also gives the tours of Fort Hamilton which I also highly recommend (must see) as is the House of Parliament in Hamilton.
You can walk to the bus stop that will take you and your family to Hamilton (a 20 min ride). Almost every bus goes to Hamilton, south shore route is a bit longer but much more scenic! Just ask the bus driver, they will even let you know where to get off for hard to locate stops!
You will never be lost because as a tourist all you have to do is ask someone (anyone) for directions and they will most certainly happily help you so don’t be shy!
Definitely go on the Coral Sea, a glass bottom boat @ Kings Wharf and ask for Chloe she was a good fried of mine. she will also certainly find the sea turtles for you to see among other amazing sea life!
If you or fam. feel up to a fishing charter look for fishing charter Tenacious and ask for Sloan another old mate of mine, he will help you hook some great fish!
Def have a drink and food @ The White Horse (Kings Wharf) and look for Rachael, Dan, and Simon they are the best and tell them Chris & Sarah sent ya!
As for the beach you have to see Tobacco Bay! It doesn’t matter the weather just go! You can walk about a mile (up hill) or take a $15 cab ride but go for sure. It is an awesome beach! and has rock jumping, and snorkeling if you and the tide are up for it!
Bermuda Zoo Aquarium are nice especially if you get a foul weather day.
The view and picture you will get from the top of South Hampton lighthouse is worth the trip.
Please let me know if this was helpful, send me an email via my profile when you get back if you meet any of the peeps!
