Sailing Lakes In Texas

sailing lakes in texas
We’re looking for a new home. Any ideas?

We have a sailboat, which we sail a lot, and we’re looking for a sweet little town near or on a lake somewhere in the east/south Texas area, maybe around Houston. Does anyone know of such a place?

We have no real ideas yet and we’re open to anywhere really between Texas and Florida, along the coast as we want to sail in the ocean from time to time.

I would recommend Pensacola Florida, my daughter goes to college there. I visit occasionally and really enjoy the area. You should visit for a weekend and check it out, If i was you I would avoid Louisiana and Mississippi, A nice seasonal town in Texas is Freeport, not many winter residents, mostly a summer population.
