Sailing Starting Flags
Looking for a PC-DOS, on Cd-ROM game I played in the early 90′s that I don’t have the name of?
It was a turn base strategy game. You start out in a large territory and you had to pertect the flag in the middle. You could get other territories by capturing the flag in the middle of that large square. If I remember, the goal was to get the other Flags of your opponent territory, thus eliminating them.
You would research different things to build different units or make medicine keep your villagers healthy.
You would assign your villagers different tasks to do things, like Woodsman, and then they would cut down trees in the “territory” they lived in. Or make them scientist and they would help research science.
You would also build buildings that would serve different functions. A storage Building would store your goods (such as wood that you had chopped down).
You also would create units like, “archer”, “knight”, and Air Balloon. I think there were also cannons. Also I remember sailing ships. Not the best game when it comes to a correct time table.
Any ideas?
This doesn’t sound familiar to me. Recently, in the past week or so, I did find a site that had old games where the copyright had expired and you could download them for free. I’m sure if you search for abandonware or freeware in google you could find a site that may have it for you. There’s also a list of freeware games on wikipedia.org where you might find what you’re looking for. I was able to find a couple of oldies that I was looking for by going through the list and reading the descriptions. It was a pain but it worked.
