Sailing Tall Ships

People who love Boston, Help me love it too!?
My family and I are going to visit Boston in mid-August. (Ages 48,45,22,20,17) We are receiving GoBoston Card and we're still deciding how to plan our day. So far we have: Duck Tour, Aquarium, Science Museum and Tall Ship Sailing. But we have three days, and this is going to fill all the time. Any suggestions? What is funny? Where should we eat? In addition, we are thinking of going down to Cape Cod for a day trip. Where are the best beach / boardwalk on Cape Cod to keep us entertained? We do not need things super family nice, but they need to do something everyone can do. I was not on Cape Cod in three days. We are taking a full day Cape Cod, and we're going to drive, because it is much cheaper than having 5 adults take the ferry. So I have three days in Boston and 1 in Cape Town.
Of course Walking the Path of Freedom can take up an entire day. And visit Cambridge. As for food: seafood places of course. Enjoy lunch or dinner at Durgin-Park in Fanueuil Hall, a fun place which is almost 200 years old. Many will say that respond to eat Italian in the North End, but for me, I think the best restaurants in the Boston area (and Southeast New England) to a combination of excellent food and wine lits, the atmosphere and cheap prices are the Portuguese! Most of them are located near downtown in the east of Cambridge. Regarding the visit of Cape Cod: no trips to my knowledge – Massachusetts is not New Jersey! You really have to drive to the outer Cape (Chatham and beyond) to get to the really nice beaches, and the traffic can be horrible. The alternative suggestion: the beautiful beaches and warm waters of southern Rhode Island, west Matunick.
