The Queen Mary, the property as the RMS Queen Mary is a retired ocean liner in the commission from 1936 to 1967 in the North Atlantic Ocean. It was part of the Cunard-White Star Line. Several years of retirement, the ship is now a popular destination for many tourists.
When it was launched on its maiden voyage from South Hampton, England, Queen Mary was one of the most luxurious to sail the open sea. He was also one of the fastest and held the speed record for crossing the Atlantic Ocean for 15 of the 16 years from 1936-1952.
Just four years of his career as a floating hotel for the rich and famous, the Queen Mary was pressed into service as troop transport ship WWII. Known as the Gray Ghost, the quality management reached another record for most passengers on time – A ship of 15,740 troops and 943 crew a total of 16,683 New York to Britain.
After the war, he returned to his old Queen Mary glory and the path, making transatlantic voyages until 1967, when he left the luxury liner.
During its heyday, many considered the only way civilized travel. Today, the ship is moored in Long Beach, California, and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Queen Mary is a show worth seeing. Many people have visited the ship since 1971 when I first became a tourist attraction in Long Beach. The floating attraction has several tours popular – both self-guided and are offered in groups.

Because of his activities supposedly paranormal, the ship is also a major destination of each year, on Halloween. Locals arrive each year by the thousands for the annual sinking! Tour where the ghosts, goblins and ghosts on the ship travel to scare the guests.
Each year, tourists from Southern California to take a day to visit the Queen Mary. The beautiful ship has been completely renovated over the years – as a troop carrier, a cruiser, and now a tourist attraction – but still retains many of the details of glamor that made popular the first time. If you are looking for attractions in Long Beach, then you can not really leave the city without first consulting the Queen Mary.
