We sail at sea, sailing through the air and sail. What is clearly nonsense is navigation through the air. Unless, of course, is in a plane. So it's more likely that the plane is sailing and you are the passenger. However, we should not be too pedantic here.

The alternative is that an object is sailing through the air and head klonks in which case you still sailing through the air so their sense again.
