I Really Want To Help Them Out..?
I Live In Victoria…. And Im 13 ive Always known about homeless youth but never really looked into it. I always assumed it was just people sleeping in alleyways and scabbing bins……… but after looking at this forum: http://forums.homeless.org.au/showthread.php?t=320 It really opened my eyes.
I REALLY WANT TO HELP. NOT JUST BY HANDING MY SPARE COINS, THEY DON’T NEED COINS THEY NEED CHANGE.
I Want To Do Something REALLY Big, Like How That 15 Year Old Wants To Sail The World Solo?
This Is Gonna Sound Ridiculous But I Want To Kinda Leave Home And Live On The Streets But Raise Money For It, Then Donate All The Money I Raise…………………
And NO ONE tell me “you cant do that” coz i will help them………..
The best thing to do would to try to raise money. Have a bakesale with some friends or get a job. Raise money anyway you can. Ask for donations at your fundraiser, tell them what the profits go to. You should surely get a bit of money. With that money and some other donations from friends and family you can make a soup kitchen. Pick a certain night on the week that you will open it. Then teens can get free healthy meals and be more energized for the next day. If you don’t raise all that much money give your money to an allready existing soup kitchen and then volunteer their. If you raise lots of money you can also give out care packets. A blanket, a toothbrush and toothpaste and a water bottle or stuffed animal should be fine. You could also give them clothing, but that can be tough cause you do not know their size. hope I helped!
